How to completely Uninstall & Re-Install Google Chrome

1. Navigate to Windows Control Panel & open Programs & Features (Add/Remove Programs if you have Windows XP). In case you don't know how to do that, here is what you have to do: Press “Windows” + “R” keys to load the Run dialog box.
Type “appwiz.cpl” and press Enter.
2. In the program list, select the Google Chrome and click Uninstall.Step 2: Enable the Hidden Files View. Step 2: Enable the Hidden Files View.
You must enable the hidden files view before performing the next step. To do that go to: Start > Control Panel > Folder Options. (In Windows 10 look for "File Explorer Options")
Click the View tab.
Click (check) the Show hidden files, folders, and drives option &
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files option.
Press OK. Step 3: Delete “Chrome” folders from your computer. Step 3: Delete “Chrome” folders from your computer.
Navigate to the following locations and delete (or rename) the “Chrome” folder(s) that exist there.
Windows 8,7, Vista: C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome
C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<YourUserName>\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome

Easy to re-install,by accessing Google Chrome from Firefox, but look carefully to choose the download option you want. Follow instructions, allow time!
Once Chrome was downloaded, I could immediately restore all bookmarks etc because my son in law had previously told me to register with Google, so I just clicked on my name ikon, entered my Google password, and my old bookmark bar etc re-appeared. The setup fails at the middle of the installation, however all other browsers work. Windows 7 64-bit fully updated. Just on the first step (deleting from users, then appdata), it is still searching for files to delete and is currently at 13 million. Is this normal?? And it took a few hours to delete that file. It deleted over 16million! However there were a few that said were "in use" but aren't.
